Salary: EUR 45,000 - 55,000 / annual
Via Transportation is seeking a Hub Manager to lead daily operations of on-demand RMV services across the greater Frankfurt area. This is a high-ownership, boots-on-the-ground role combining hands-on operations management with data-driven optimization and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run daily onsite operations ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for riders
- Drive continuous optimization across the field team and service using data, technology, AI, and automation, including leading AI projects from conception to implementation
- Make real-time decisions on fleet management, driver supply, compliance, and rider needs, using data to diagnose problems and maintain service continuity
- Guide and support drivers, building strong relationships and identifying performance improvement opportunities
- Convert rider and community feedback into actionable improvements by identifying patterns and addressing root causes
- Serve as the bridge between Via's partners, drivers, and central teams, pulling data to answer questions and drive improvements
The role requires on-site presence at least 3 days per week in the Frankfurt region. You'll combine tactical problem-solving with strategic thinking to build sustainable operational solutions.
Requirements:
- Operationally experienced in people management, logistics, customer service, or similar process-oriented work
- Relationship-oriented with strong communication skills; able to build trust with drivers, riders, teammates, and city partners
- Hands-on and proactive; comfortable taking responsibility for employees, being in the field, and solving problems under pressure
- Data-driven, structured, and digitally savvy; proficient with analytics and AI tools
- Tactical and strategic mindset; able to handle real-time issues while thinking ahead
- Proficiency level C1 or higher in both German and English
- Valid German driver's license, class B
