Quince is a Series D direct-to-consumer retail company founded in 2018 to democratize access to high-quality essentials at transparent, low prices. The company uses AI, analytics, and automation to disrupt traditional retail while maintaining commitments to sustainability and fair manufacturing.
You will be Quince's first EU-based sourcing hire, tasked with building and leading the soft home sourcing function from the ground up. This is a greenfield opportunity to establish vendor relationships and supply chains across Northern Europe and the EU, focusing initially on cotton bedding, kids bedding, and window coverings, with expansion potential into towels, table linens, and kitchen textiles.
Key responsibilities include:
**Vendor Development & Management**: Identify, vet, and onboard high-quality, compliant vendor partners across the EU region. Establish supplier scorecards and KPIs to drive performance. Negotiate commercial terms including MOQs, pricing, capacity planning, and lead times. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
**Supply Chain Operations**: Manage end-to-end sourcing workflows including RFQs, sampling, quality assurance, and compliance. Coordinate with product, quality, and logistics teams to ensure cost, quality, and lead-time targets are met. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to optimize production planning.
**Strategic Planning**: Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost efficiency with quality and sustainability standards. Identify market opportunities and emerging suppliers. Contribute to category expansion and product innovation.
You bring deep knowledge of home textile manufacturing, established vendor relationships (or proven ability to cultivate them), and operational rigor to scale new supply chains. You are entrepreneurial, strategic, and comfortable building functions from scratch in a fast-growing, mission-driven company.
