Suno is hiring its first Head of Strategic Sourcing to lead vendor strategy and procurement across the company. As the fastest-growing AI-native consumer entertainment platform, Suno is building the world's first creative music platform powered by AI, backed by top-tier investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed, and NVIDIA Ventures.
In this multi-faceted, hands-on role, you will serve as a strategic partner to all of Suno's teams in defining technology strategy and vendor partnerships. You'll be the primary negotiator across non-headcount spend (cloud infrastructure, inference, software, and tools), working closely with Legal, Finance, and Security/IT to secure optimal pricing, terms, and flexibility. You'll build systems to confidently manage vendor relationships and risks, deciding when to move fast versus when to create healthy friction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working closely with each business team to define sourcing strategy, identify key vendors, surface gaps where additional tooling could help, and eliminate unintended duplication or unused tools
- Partnering with teams to forecast demand, understand technical requirements, evaluate suppliers, and translate growth into sourcing leverage
- Personally negotiating with major vendors and providing tools and techniques for company-wide spend management
- Creating intake and vendor contract systems that triage new vendor requests, manage commitments, and surface renewals based on spend level, risk exposure, and usage
- Collaborating with Security/IT and Legal to ensure security and legal term review for relevant vendors
Requirements:
- Must-haves: 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and/or finops, ideally in high-growth technology companies; direct negotiation experience with cloud providers and security/monitoring software with demonstrated cost wins (inference provider experience highly desirable); ability to partner with diverse internal stakeholders and diagnose over-provisioning issues; history of successfully deploying sourcing systems for better collaboration and spend clarity; collaboration, curiosity, and creativity with bias toward action over perfection; comfort with ambiguity and high pace; willingness to use AI to empower yourself and others
- Nice-to-haves: experience setting and managing budgets for office management and real estate buildouts; work at both scrappy startups and scaled organizations; experience building and maintaining AI-powered sourcing tools and playbooks for redlining, negotiation prep, benchmarking, and vendor reporting; IPO readiness experience
- Must be eligible to work in the US
