Finix is building the global operating system for fintech, starting with payments. The company processes tens of billions of dollars annually for customers ranging from startups to publicly traded companies. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in San Francisco, Finix has raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Acrew Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, American Express Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Homebrew, Inspired Capital, and Visa. As Head of Startup & VC Partnerships, you will own and expand Finix's relationships within the startup and venture capital ecosystem. You'll be the primary face of Finix to accelerators, incubators, venture capital firms, and founders, working to embed Finix as the preferred payments solution for startup cohorts. Key responsibilities include: defining and executing a repeatable go-to-market strategy to identify and target top startups; creating strategic account plans for key ecosystem relationships with clear success metrics; planning and executing high-impact events targeting founders and investors (demo days, conferences, hosted dinners); actively hunting for new partnership opportunities at Silicon Valley events and investor conferences; establishing strong relationships with senior executives at partner organizations; and coordinating with marketing on event promotion, content creation, and follow-up campaigns. You'll operate in a fast-paced environment, juggling priorities across multiple internal and external stakeholders. The role requires deep fluency in the VC ecosystem—knowing key players, understanding how funds work, and identifying where interesting deals are happening. You'll evangelize Finix to founders and investors with enough product depth to be credible. Required qualifications: 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or similar roles; proven ability to build authentic relationships over transactional wins; self-motivated extrovert who loves to hustle; experience working closely with leading Silicon Valley companies and venture capital firms at senior levels; strong verbal and written communication skills across finance, business development, product, engineering, and sales audiences; ability to thrive with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty; and comfort evangelizing Finix with credible product knowledge.
