ApplyBoard is seeking a Head of Sri Lanka to lead regional business development and recruitment strategy. This senior regional business owner role combines strategic leadership with hands-on partnership development in the international education space.
You will develop and implement localized recruitment strategies that drive international student enrollment to ApplyBoard's network of 1,500+ partner institutions. Key responsibilities include building and managing high-level partnerships with recruitment agents, educational consultants, and institutions; identifying and assessing new market opportunities using region-specific intelligence; and mentoring a recruitment team to foster high performance.
Your day-to-day work involves leading strategic recruitment initiatives with data-driven optimization, cultivating top-tier partnerships through negotiation and relationship management, and representing ApplyBoard at major international conferences and education fairs. You'll oversee partner training programs to ensure consistent quality, analyze recruitment performance and market trends, and collaborate across marketing, operations, and product teams to align efforts.
The ideal candidate brings 7-9 years in international student recruitment, sales, or related education industry roles with strong strategic planning and partnership development experience. You'll have 5+ years in a leadership role managing and mentoring high-performing teams, advanced partnership-building skills including high-stakes negotiations, and proficiency with CRM and analytics tools. Strong cross-cultural communication skills are essential for engaging international partners and stakeholders. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred.
