Mistral is building full-stack AI solutions—from frontier models to developer tools, applications, and compute—for enterprises tackling high-stakes problems in finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector. The Solutions organization is one of the fastest-growing functions at Mistral, scaling to 650 people by end of 2026 across EMEA, the US, and Asia-Pacific. Solutions teams (Deployment Strategists, Applied AI Engineers, Infrastructure Solution Architects, and Applied Scientists) work with enterprise customers from pre-sales through implementation, delivering AI systems that produce measurable business outcomes. You will join as Head of Solutions Operations, leading the function that enables this scale. This is a build-the-1-to-10 role: you will take a young, fast-growing function and transform it into the operating system that lets Solutions scale from hundreds to thousands of people without losing what makes it work. Key responsibilities: - Own the Solutions operating system end-to-end: one process from pre-sales to post-sales, a single source of truth for people, projects, and opportunities, the Solutions tooling stack, and safety/security/compliance built into workflows. - Industrialize what already works: turn delivery and vertical playbooks, staffing frameworks, and value/ROI methodology into reusable assets, driving adoption across all geographies. - Build the global operating model: keep core operations centralized while ensuring real adoption and appropriate local adaptation across EMEA, the US, and Asia-Pacific, with full-stack regional operators on the ground. - Own capacity planning and forecasting: staff demanding customer engagements, manage skills-to-project matching, time-to-staff, utilization, and bench health across all geographies. - Make customer success measurable: stand up delivery-outcome measurement and customer-satisfaction systems, run the feedback loop that turns field learnings into product requirements and reusable IP. - Make AI-native operations the default: build internal tools, agents, and automations that remove manual work from planning, staffing, reporting, and delivery follow-ups. - Lead and grow the team: hire, mentor, and develop program leads and regional operators, raise the technical bar, and build the hiring plan for the next phase. - Partner across functions: work daily with Solutions leadership, regional Sales leadership, Product and Engineering, RevOps, and Talent Acquisition, bringing executive judgment on where to invest, slow down, or say no. Mistral's culture emphasizes caring about people and outputs, letting the best idea win regardless of seniority, asking why to drive deep understanding, direct feedback given with care, and embracing an unstructured environment. Requirements: - Extensive leadership experience with demonstrated impact building and leading teams or functions in a fast-scaling environment. - Track record of industrializing something handcrafted but working: processes, systems, and teams that scaled an order of magnitude without losing what made them work. - Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and drive complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution; hands-on and biased toward action. - Data-driven and AI-fluent: you build the internal tools, automations, dashboards, and AI workflows you rely on. - Global operating range: work naturally across geographies and cultures, with executive presence to hold a room with C-level stakeholders and credibility to challenge senior leaders. - Strong stakeholder management: align competing priorities and drive decisions without formal authority. - Fluent in English; additional languages a plus. Ideal qualifications: - Experience in enterprise software, AI, or deep-tech delivery, or top-tier strategy consulting on complex technical transformations. - Experience operating at global scale across EMEA, the US, and Asia-Pacific. - Hands-on experience building AI-native operations: automating workflows with LLMs and agents. - MBA or advanced degree preferred.
