Blockchain.com is seeking a Head of Site Reliability Engineering to lead infrastructure reliability strategy at a high-growth crypto financial services company. You will establish a multi-year platform and reliability roadmap, define SRE standards for observability and automation, and architect secure hybrid infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and on-premise data centers using Kubernetes and Hashicorp Nomad with zero-trust principles. Key responsibilities include leading and scaling a global team of senior SREs through coaching and hiring; owning incident response and root-cause analysis to meet MTTD/MTTR targets; governing cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, networking, and cost management; and building cross-functional relationships to deliver services while maintaining compliance with auditors and regulators. You will enable rapid product delivery through well-designed self-service tooling while maintaining security and standards compliance. The role requires proven experience leading senior SRE teams in 24/7 financial environments, deep expertise in GCP and AWS networking, hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform, and solid background in bare-metal hardware and data center networking. Strong software engineering background with understanding of distributed systems, Linux, observability, and reliability is essential. You must balance reliability, security, and developer productivity while evolving complex, heterogeneous infrastructure estates. The position is based in London with mandatory in-office presence four days per week. Compensation includes competitive salary based on experience and meaningful equity. Additional benefits include ClassPass, unlimited vacation policy, Apple equipment, and ability to work remotely from anywhere for up to 20 days annually.
