In this Director-level role, you will lead the commercial operations function and shape how Birdie's sales, customer success, and SDR teams work. You'll report to the co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer, partnering closely on commercial strategy while building and leading a small team of revenue operations and data specialists.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the AI transformation of go-to-market teams: identify where frontline time is spent, redesign workflows around AI and automation, and quantify productivity gains.
- Shape commercial strategy alongside the CRO, including customer segmentation, go-to-market approach, pricing, and packaging decisions.
- Own commercial operations: design and optimize processes across the full customer lifecycle, manage the commercial tech stack, ensure data quality, and provide insights that inform leadership and board decisions.
- Set targets, quotas, capacity plans, and compensation structures that align behavior across marketing, sales, and customer success.
- Run the commercial operating rhythm: forecasting, performance reviews, planning, and OKR management.
- Lead cross-functional commercial projects and provide analytical support for strategic decisions.
- Build and develop a small team of revenue operations and data specialists.
The role is hybrid, based in London with 2–3 days per week in the office. Birdie offers competitive base salary with generous stock options, 33 days holiday, flexible working, industry-leading parental leave, private health insurance, and a £1,000+ annual learning budget.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience redesigning how commercial teams work using AI, automation, or process improvement, with quantifiable productivity gains.
- Proven track record owning pricing, segmentation, or compensation decisions in a B2B SaaS business, with ability to influence senior leaders.
- Technical acumen sufficient to direct and challenge systems and data work without needing to execute it personally.
- Strong ability to translate data into clear recommendations and persuade stakeholders with evidence, even in disagreement.
- Outcome-focused mindset with comfort working at pace and managing ambiguity.
- Genuine interest in improving care outcomes for older adults.
