As Head of Product Security, you will report to the Senior Director of Product Security and lead a team of Product Security Engineers. You'll be responsible for embedding security into Harvey's engineering organization while enabling rapid, secure development as the company scales. Your team will own defined areas of Harvey's production surface and work closely with product, platform, and infrastructure engineers to shape architecture, influence design decisions, and build security tooling.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the Senior Director of Product Security to translate security strategy into focused priorities and measurable outcomes
- Hiring, developing, and leading Product Security Engineers with clear ownership and technical growth focus
- Owning your team's planning, prioritization, and delivery
- Providing technical direction on architecture reviews, threat modeling, and remediation
- Scaling team impact through automation, developer tooling, and secure-by-default patterns
- Communicating risks and progress to engineering leadership
- Building alignment on priorities and holding the team accountable for security improvements
- Working closely with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and Security teams to align security investments with business priorities and technical realities

REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience managing Product Security or Application Security engineers at a growing technology company
- Strong engineering background with deep expertise in modern application security and cloud-native architectures
- Track record of delivering security improvements through engineering, automation, and close partnership with development teams
- Experience hiring, mentoring, and developing security engineers with focus on technical growth and clear ownership
- Ability to translate broader security goals into focused team priorities and measurable results
- Sound technical judgment and ability to earn credibility with senior engineers and influence cross-functional partners
