Reducto is an agentic document platform serving leading AI teams and enterprise customers. The company has grown 8x YoY, raised over $100M from top-tier investors (a16z, Benchmark, First Round Capital), and partners with companies like Harvey, Vanta, Scale, and FAANG firms.
You will lead the product engineering team building a universe of products and tooling across the entire document workflow lifecycle. You'll set direction for what gets built on top of Reducto's models and be accountable for products that feel fast, reliable, precise, and worth paying for. You'll define how the team builds—from technology choices to application approaches.
This is a hands-on role. You'll spend your first few months shipping as an engineer on the team before fully transitioning to leadership. As AI makes coding easier, the expectation that you can solve hard problems yourself remains core to the role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working directly with founders, product team, and customers to shape product direction and building approach
- Creating delightful, intuitive UIs that decompose complex document workflows
- Ideating, prototyping, and iteratively delivering features (form filling, translations, document editing, classification)
- Sourcing and recruiting product engineers for a world-class agentic platform
- Defining how AI is used in the building process
- Collaborating closely with Platform and ML engineering teams on model rollouts and deployment capabilities
You'll report to the Head of Engineering and work directly with founders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years leading team(s) that built applications with significant impact
- Experience leading business-critical projects from 0 to 1 and 1 to 100
- Sharp product intuition; care deeply about quality and details that matter
- Quantitative approach to building products; comfortable debugging, experimenting, and iterating fast
- Hands-on with full development lifecycle from ideation to production-quality code
- Experience working directly with customers; background in customer discovery/research
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments (ex-founders are ideal fit but not required)
- Preference for leading small, nimble teams
