Salary: USD 220,000 - 285,000 / annual
Crexi is building a digital marketplace for commercial real estate, one of the largest and least digitized asset classes. The company is leveraging AI to transform how deals are discovered, evaluated, and closed in an industry historically driven by email, PDFs, and relationships.
As Head of Product Design, you will lead the design function across multiple product lines and shape the strategy and standards of the broader design organization. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role where you own the quality, coherence, and business impact of design across the entire portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own product design strategy across multiple product lines, setting standards for the design team
- Lead and grow a team of designers through coaching, clear feedback, and structured growth plans
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales leadership to align design strategy with company roadmap
- Set the direction for Crexi's design system, research practice, and accessibility standards
- Define how AI changes the way the team designs and integrate it into daily work
- Turn long-range company strategy into a clear design vision and multi-year roadmap
- Represent design in executive planning, communicating strategy, outcomes, and risk
- Own hiring strategy, resourcing, and prioritization across the design team
You will work hybrid in Los Angeles or fully remote within the US, with flexibility to shape how your team operates.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of product or UX design experience, including organization-level design ownership with focus on leading teams in complex product environments
- Proven track record building and scaling design teams
- Experience with design systems, research practice, and accessibility at scale
- Strong partnership skills with product, engineering, and business leadership
- Ability to translate company strategy into design vision and roadmap
- Experience integrating emerging technologies (including AI) into design practice
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, seed-stage environment
