Fever is a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, operating in 55+ countries with 300+ million monthly users. The company partners with major brands like Netflix, F.C. Barcelona, and Primavera Sound, and is backed by leading global investors including Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Fever's data team has built and deployed an end-to-end pricing engine that manages and optimizes prices across the platform—defining price structures, setting initial prices, running adaptive pricing control loops, and providing tooling for commercial teams. The engine is live and processing thousands of pricing decisions daily across concerts, exhibitions, sports, theme parks, and other live entertainment verticals. You will own the pricing solutions vision and roadmap to establish Fever as the leading platform for pricing across diverse live entertainment sectors. This is a builder role focused on domain expertise and product strategy, not advisory work. You will decide which pricing approaches are sector-agnostic and which require bespoke solutions, identify table-stakes capabilities versus competitive differentiators, and set the direction for the technical team. Key responsibilities include: - Own the pricing solutions vision and roadmap across live entertainment sectors - Define the portfolio of pricing solutions each sector needs—price structures, levers, algorithms—and when each applies - Extend pricing into new sectors with a repeatable approach: what to optimize for, constraints, and how trade-offs are agreed with business owners - Serve as the reference point on pricing for commercial, partnerships, and marketing teams - Work closely with data science on demand, elasticity, and pricing fundamentals; bring domain knowledge to model selection and validation - Shape experimentation strategy: what to test, how to measure, how to interpret results when clean comparisons aren't possible - Set standards for transparency and fairness in pricing, working with legal and commercial teams You will work day-to-day with data science, engineering, and business teams to execute this vision. The role spans unusual variety—concerts, museums, theme parks, and football matches each have distinct economics, objectives, and constraints. There is no off-the-shelf playbook for live music pricing the way there is for hotels or airlines; you will help write that playbook and drive optimization across diverse domains. Requirements: - Deep expertise in pricing or revenue optimization in a consumer business, with a track record of decisions that produced successful, measurable outcomes you were accountable for - Real analytical depth: knowledge of main pricing families (elasticity estimation, demand forecasting, constrained optimization, bandits, causal methods); ability to choose between approaches, read estimates critically, and distinguish robust results from fragile ones - Experience shaping pricing products or solutions—deciding what they should do and getting them built, not just using existing solutions - Pricing experience across more than one business model, product type, or market; judgment to decide what can be adapted versus rebuilt - Understanding that pricing is empirical; fluency in experimentation—what tests can and cannot prove, and what evidence justifies price changes - Ability to hold a position under commercial pressure and explain pricing strategy to stakeholders who didn't design it Nice to have: - Experience pricing perishable inventory (events, travel, hospitality, attractions, or similar) - Hands-on technical and scientific experience to interrogate and answer key business optimization pricing questions - Exposure to consumer pricing transparency and fairness regulation
