As Head of Operations Planning & Special Projects, you will own the integrated operations plan that aligns cross-functional teams on machine deployment, headcount scaling, and material readiness. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you'll be a critical strategic partner as the company scales machine count, partners, sites, and product lines over the next twelve months.
Key responsibilities include:
**Integrated Planning:** Own the comprehensive operations plan covering all product lines, machines, field headcount, and material readiness. Identify constraints, build scenarios for resolution, and partner with Operations leaders to surface optimizations and risks. Support senior leadership and board decisions with rigorous analysis. Define team OKRs with the VP of Operations and contribute to long-term forecasting across multiple teams.
**S&OP Process Implementation:** Partner with Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to build Sales & Operations Planning processes. Own the monthly S&OP cycle end-to-end, including forecast development, demand review, supply plan integration, and reporting. Serve as the bridge between business strategy, engineering, finance, and supply chain execution.
**Production Planning Coordination:** Own phase-in/phase-out planning for new machine types, product lines, partners, sites, and hardware generations. Track lead times, drive alignment on critical decision timelines, and plan labor availability using operational planning drivers. Partner with Supply Chain and Contract Manufacturing on production capacity planning.
**Operations Insights & Analytics:** Develop core operational metrics and routine reporting. Run operational review cadences that drive accountability and bring insights to the business. Support continuous improvement through process and data optimization.
Success means delivering a single, trusted integrated plan that the business uses for decisions; surfacing constraints early with clear scenarios; establishing a functioning monthly S&OP cadence; and defining, tracking, and reviewing core operational metrics on a regular rhythm.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to turn data into operational decisions
- Strong written and verbal communication, including with executives
**Preferred:**
- Familiarity with autonomy, heavy machinery, and/or the construction industry
- Experience standing up supply-and-demand review processes that clarify timelines, requirements, decisions, risks, and solutions
- Continuous improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma experience, including standing up an improvement program
