Kela Technologies is seeking a Head of Manufacturing to lead the company's transition from product development through NPI (New Product Introduction) and into scaled production. This is a senior leadership role in a fast-growing company where manufacturing is a core strategic function.
You will own the complete manufacturing lifecycle, building the manufacturing organization, processes, and infrastructure from the ground up. This includes establishing new production sites in Israel and internationally, scaling production capabilities, and managing both in-house operations and external manufacturing partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the transition from R&D through NPI and into high-volume scaled production
- Building and leading three core functions: Manufacturing Engineering/NPI, Quality, and Production
- Building production capabilities from zero, including processes, production lines, equipment, tooling, test infrastructure, and new factories
- Owning manufacturing performance metrics across capacity, quality, yield, throughput, cost, and delivery for both in-house and external partner operations
- Managing manufacturing partners and suppliers in Israel and internationally, including technical qualification, audits, and commercial management
- Challenging established manufacturing practices and building modern, technology-driven approaches to production
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring someone who can operate at scale while bringing innovation and modern practices to manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands-on manufacturing management experience, including taking products from development through NPI and into high-volume production
- Proven experience building manufacturing operations from zero, including production lines, factories, equipment, tooling, stations, and infrastructure
- Experience building and managing manufacturing teams and working closely with Hardware and Mechanical Engineering on production-ready designs
- Experience managing manufacturing partners and suppliers in Israel and internationally, including technical qualification, audits, and commercial management
- Willingness to challenge established manufacturing practices and build new approaches rather than follow existing playbooks
