Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Head of Indirect Strategic Supply Chain & Procurement to lead enterprise sourcing strategy and procurement operations across all indirect commodities. This is a Director-level leadership role responsible for architecting and executing sourcing strategies across Enterprise Software & SaaS, IT Hardware & Cloud Infrastructure, Manufacturing & Facility CapEx, Professional Services (Consulting, Legal, Contingent Labor), Facilities & Real Estate, and Corporate MRO. You will lead a high-performing team to build a resilient, scalable, and high-velocity supply chain capable of moving rapidly from New Product Introduction (NPI) to high-volume production. As Anduril scales to meet surging global mission demands, your non-production footprint represents both a critical engine of operational speed and a lever for capital efficiency. Key responsibilities include: • Architect and execute multi-year category strategies across key indirect domains—Software/SaaS (Enterprise, Engineering, Design tools), IT & Cloud Infrastructure (Compute, Storage, Telecom), Advanced Manufacturing CapEx (machinery, tooling, facility automation), Professional Services, and Contingent Workforce programs. • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of commodity managers, strategic sourcing leads, and technical sourcing engineers across multiple global sites. • Establish formal Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs for strategic tier-1 indirect partners (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, major consulting firms, tool OEMs), conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and driving continuous service improvements and innovation. • Serve as a trusted advisor to Executive Staff, CIO, CFO, General Counsel, and Department Heads to align indirect spend strategies with corporate budgetary targets, company roadmap, and headcount plans. Conduct regular operational and strategic reviews with C-suite and executive leadership. • Lead high-stakes negotiations for master service agreements (MSAs), development agreements, long-term supply agreements (LTSAs), and complex statements of work (SOWs)—optimizing pricing structures, IP protection, warranty, payment terms, and lead-time commitments. • Partner with Finance and IT to mature enterprise Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) workflows (e.g., Coupa, Zip, NetSuite, SAP), streamlining intake, approvals, contract lifecycle management, and supplier onboarding. • Collaborate with Information Security, Legal, and Compliance to ensure all software, cloud, and service vendors comply with rigorous corporate data privacy and governance standards, InfoSec standards, and defense compliance requirements (e.g., CMMC, FedRAMP, SOC 2, ITAR). • Implement advanced spend analytics, total cost of ownership (TCO) frameworks, and rigorous demand management practices to eliminate redundant applications, curb rogue spend, and optimize seat/license utilization. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in indirect strategic sourcing, global commodity management, or supply chain leadership within fast-paced, high-growth environments. • 5+ years of proven experience building, managing, and scaling high-performing procurement or supply chain teams. • Demonstrated expertise negotiating multi-million enterprise software/SaaS agreements (e.g., ERP, CRM, CAD/PLM, Cloud), large-scale CapEx projects, and complex professional services contracts. • Proven track record of managing supplier lifecycles and negotiating complex multi-million-dollar commercial agreements. • In-depth expertise in modern procurement systems (Coupa, Zip, Ariba, etc.), contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms, and spend analytics tools. • Ability to relocate if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's degree (MBA, MS in Finance, or MS in Information Systems) or Juris Doctorate. • Professional certifications (CPSM, CPM, CIPS). • Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high tech, or related industry. • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting enterprise IT and vendors in regulated spaces (FAR/DFARS, FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST 800-171, ITAR). • Strong financial acumen with experience leading zero-based budgeting (ZBB) reviews and working closely with Corporate FP&A teams. • Strategic thinker experienced in putting together commodities strategy/roadmap with key executive stakeholders. • Proven leadership in driving and influencing other teams to a common goal; effective communication and collaboration across functions and organizational levels. • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance.
