Salary: USD 220,000 - 292,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Head of Growth for its Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) business line. Reporting to the RMS General Manager and working closely with the Tactical Reconnaissance & Strike Division SVP, you will build and scale Anduril's rocket motor business to become a primary or secondary supplier on multiple weapons and missile Programs of Record.
You will develop comprehensive business line strategy to identify and capture opportunities for traditional and novel solid rocket motors. Your responsibilities include leading portfolio expansion across US and allied military services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps), establishing RMS as a key supplier on franchise weapons and missile systems. You will manage relationships with established Prime Contractors at the executive level, positioning Anduril for solid rocket motor sourcing opportunities on new and existing programs.
You will build, mentor, and lead the RMS Growth team across business development, account management, and mission operations. Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you'll work with business line and division leadership, growth teams, program and engineering teams, and corporate functions to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and provide strategic direction. You'll partner directly with military customers to develop disruptive technologies that deliver sustained operational advantage.
Additional responsibilities include identifying and executing internally and externally funded R&D initiatives to advance RMS technology, delivering on financial performance metrics, and building strategic market growth initiatives. Travel up to 50-75% is required.
Required qualifications include demonstrated experience creating or supporting new weapons/missile programs with SRM propulsion sourcing expertise. You must have strong relationships with Prime contractor executives overseeing weapons/missile programs and understanding of their material and supply chain decisions. Experience working with DoD Program Executive Offices and Program Acquisition Executives is essential, along with prior acquisition or operational experience with missile systems across surface fires, air-launched effects, and air defense domains. You must be an effective communicator and proven leader, a builder and owner willing to work across all business aspects, and capable of learning complex technology, programs, and customer nuance. Knowledge of defense acquisitions, new technology introduction, and scaling programs is required. Active US Secret security clearance eligibility is mandatory.
