Brale is building the infrastructure layer for stablecoins in everyday applications, supporting payments, embedded finance, and financial institutions running compliant stablecoin programs. You will lead Brale's Finance function—FP&A, accounting, treasury, and regulatory reporting—for a regulated fintech company at a critical scaling stage.
Reporting directly to the COO, this is a builder's role where you'll establish processes, tooling, and team structure that shape how finance scales with the business. You'll own end-to-end financial leadership: building and developing the finance team, owning forecasting and budgeting, delivering board-level reporting, overseeing accounting operations and controls, managing treasury strategy and cash/liquidity across multiple banking and on-chain rails, and leading regulatory and compliance reporting for reserve programs.
Key responsibilities include: transitioning from outsourced bookkeeping to a fully in-house, audit-ready close process; establishing a reliable monthly close cadence; setting treasury strategy and overseeing cash management and rebalancing tied to Brale's reserve systems; owning quarterly call reports and monthly regulatory filings in partnership with Compliance; building resilient coverage across treasury and regulatory reporting to eliminate single-person dependencies; and turning financial data into strategic narratives for the CEO, board, and leadership team.
Within six months, success means demonstrating command of Brale's end-to-end fund flows (corporate cash and customer reserves across fiat and on-chain rails), establishing predictable forecasting and board reporting cadences, delivering consistent accurate and audit-ready monthly closes, maintaining audit-ready financials and controls, completing the outsourced-to-in-house accounting transition, and documenting procedures with named backups for treasury and regulatory reporting.
Brale's CEO previously founded and scaled Dwolla; the COO led corporate finance and operations through Cash App, Etsy, and MoonPay. The culture is fast-moving, low-bureaucracy, remote-first with regular in-person offsites, anti-deck (updates in Notion), and AI-forward. You'll partner directly with the CEO and COO, work closely with Compliance on regulatory reporting, and collaborate with Risk and Product & Engineering on automation.
