Klaviyo, a public SaaS company, is seeking a Head of Engineering for Finance Systems to lead the technology foundation for financial operations at a critical growth inflection point. This role reports to the Senior Director of G&A Systems and owns the Finance application landscape, including ERP (NetSuite/Oracle), procure-to-pay (Coupa), revenue and billing systems, and related integrations.
You will define and execute a multi-year vision for Klaviyo's Finance technology stack, translating objectives from Finance, Accounting, Tax, FP&A, and Treasury into clear systems investments and sequencing. You'll lead a team of application owners, business systems analysts, administrators, and integration specialists, setting expectations around domain ownership, service reliability, and measurable business outcomes while building leadership bench strength.
A key focus is driving AI-native transformation across Finance—identifying and delivering high-value AI use cases in partnership with Klaviyo's AI and data platform teams. This includes embedding AI into core Finance processes with appropriate guardrails and measurable productivity gains, work already underway that you'll own.
You'll design and optimize end-to-end Finance workflows across procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and order-to-cash processes, ensuring systems are tightly aligned with business needs and configured to support accurate, timely close and high-quality financial data. You'll also own SOX compliance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), and audit readiness for Finance systems, ensuring the back-office stack is reliable, well-integrated, compliant, and ready for a public, AI-forward SaaS business.
