Upway is a fast-growing marketplace for refurbished e-bikes, having refurbished over 100,000 units in three years with plans to reach 1 million by 2030. The company's mission is to make e-mobility accessible while building the largest and highest-quality e-bike range through sourcing and reconditioning. As Head of Business Development - US, you will lead the B2B Sourcing team responsible for securing high-quality second-hand e-bikes from professional partners nationwide. This is a pivotal role in driving Upway's growth and platform expansion. Key responsibilities include: - Building, coaching, and leading a high-performing B2B sourcing team - Unlocking and developing key retail partners and buying groups across the country through effective negotiation and long-term relationship building - Defining comprehensive B2B sourcing strategy for the US market, including bike shop portfolio management, partner tiering, allocation, and field cadence - Owning team performance optimization, tracking KPIs such as bikes sourced, portfolio growth, and activity rates - Leading deployment of new partnership services (pickup, dropoff, maintenance) and co-designing partner communications - Designing and implementing scalable sales processes, CRM workflows, and operational frameworks Required qualifications: - 4+ years of B2B Sales or Business Development experience; cycling industry experience is a plus but strong sales DNA (FMCG, SaaS, field sales) is prioritized - 2+ years of management experience or demonstrated ability to step into a leadership role with strong management and coaching principles - Strategic mindset with ability to structure and prioritize team efforts based on quantitative and qualitative insights - Willingness to travel 25% of the time across the US, with higher frequency in the first six months - Native English proficiency; Spanish is a plus - Genuine passion for cycling and the e-bike industry to build authentic relationships with partners
