Factory is seeking a Head of Business Development to lead strategic partnerships and ecosystem relationships that position the company as the center of gravity for agent-native software development. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will own business development strategy, build and nurture the product partner ecosystem, deepen relationships with frontier AI labs, and cultivate alliances with major cloud platforms and infrastructure providers. You will help establish Factory within the startup ecosystem and act as the tip of the spear for the sales organization, opening doors and converting high-level relationships into strategic advantage.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing business development and strategic partnerships strategy aligned to long-term vision; identifying and shaping integrations that increase platform value for enterprise engineering teams; maintaining Factory's position at the leading edge of AI model capabilities; positioning Factory within enterprise operating environments; establishing the company within high-growth startup communities; identifying, negotiating, and structuring partnerships with complementary technology providers; building early relationships with emerging technologies and startups; partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Legal; representing Factory at industry events; and gathering ecosystem intelligence to inform product direction and strategic planning.
You will operate with founder-level judgment, identifying which relationships matter most, structuring partnerships that compound over time, and bringing the whole company along. This is a strategic, relationship-driven role requiring credibility and presence to build and maintain relationships with founders and C-level executives.
