Crosby is an AI-native law firm that combines human legal expertise with proprietary technology to help ambitious companies execute commercial contracts faster. Founded by Stanford Law and Cooley alumni, Crosby is building a new category—neither pure software nor traditional services, but a "neofirm" that owns outcomes alongside clients.
As Head of Brand, you will own Crosby's brand strategy and execution as the company scales and transforms the legal industry. This is a foundational leadership role reporting to the founders, working closely with the head of marketing and cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive brand strategy and positioning that captures Crosby's unique value proposition, establishing what the brand stands for while maintaining premium and trustworthy positioning
- Create and maintain a cohesive visual identity and brand system that translates consistently across diverse touchpoints—billboards, conference booths, swag, digital properties, and more
- Lead signature campaign development and creative direction for major 2027 initiatives, building on momentum from the "Death of the Billable Hour" campaign. Own central creative concepts and drive execution across out-of-home, digital, social, and other channels
- Transform Crosby's website into a complete expression of the company, services, and technology. Shape page narratives, visual concepts, headlines, and brand copy in partnership with product, design, and content teams
- Partner cross-functionally with design, product marketing, events, content, and sales to ensure consistent brand affinity across every customer and prospect interaction
Requirements:
- 4–8 years of experience building standout brands in tech, consumer, or agency environments. This could include work at admired brands, standout campaign or agency projects, or building emerging companies
- Proven ability to build a brand from the ground up as a first or second hire focused on brand
- Exceptional taste and a clear creative point of view, with compelling examples of distinctive, high-quality brand work and the ability to articulate why creative choices aligned with company, audience, and objectives
- Visual fluency: judgment to guide identity and visual expression across formats, plus comfort communicating direction through rough mockups or concepts. Production design experience not required
- Conviction and collaborative judgment: comfort navigating strong opinions from founders, marketing, product, sales, and design teams. Ability to defend sound creative decisions, incorporate useful feedback, and drive projects forward
- End-to-end creative leadership: experience translating brand ideas into campaigns, websites, customer moments, and other shipped work with clear ownership of concept, feedback, and delivery
- Resourcefulness and momentum: bias for shipping high-quality work in an evolving organization, building practical systems, and managing tradeoffs without waiting for perfect resources or direction
