Revolut is a global fintech company with 80+ million customers, offering products spanning spending, saving, investing, exchanging, and travel. The company is seeking a Head of Financial Crime Compliance to design and lead the future of oversight and compliance for all crypto-related products and services.
In this Director-level role, you will be responsible for steering cryptoasset products through the global financial crime regulatory landscape. You'll manage FinCrime compliance across multiple crypto jurisdictions and entities, defining and maintaining all group-wide financial crime policies to stay ahead of regulatory changes. Key responsibilities include providing oversight and support for the identification, remediation, and resolution of FinCrime-related risk incidents; offering second line of defense (2LoD) support to the business and first line of defense (1LoD) FinCrime teams during product launches and system implementations; and ensuring FinCrime risks are integrated into day-to-day operations, including new product development and customer acquisition strategies.
You will establish and maintain dashboards to identify areas falling outside risk appetite, prepare reports to group committees and the Board on key compliance issues, and provide strategic guidance on AML/CTF, sanctions, KYC, CDD, transaction monitoring, and risk assessments. This role requires blending regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking and deep business risk understanding to ensure all crypto features meet global AML/CTF standards and comply with frameworks such as FATF and TFR.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of experience in FinCrime (AML/CTF and sanctions) covering retail and business customers, including KYC, CDD, transaction monitoring, and risk assessments
- Expertise working with crypto products and deep understanding of related FinCrime risks, frameworks, and legislations (e.g., FATF, TFR)
- Experience managing FinCrime risk in a regulated entity (e.g., MiCA, VARA)
- Excellent knowledge of global requirements for financial crime controls
- Understanding of industry-wide financial crime practices and trends
- Exceptional ability to identify financial crime risks and vulnerabilities, and advise on best practices
- Strong track record of stakeholder management, collaboration, negotiation, and communication
- Fluency in English
NICE TO HAVE:
- Professional qualification from an internationally recognized body (e.g., ICA, ACAMS)
- Knowledge of key regulatory issues on anti-fraud and control assessment processes
