Hims & Hers, a leading telehealth and personalized healthcare platform (NYSE: HIMS), is seeking a Head Compounding Pharmacist to lead their non-sterile compounding operations in New Albany, Ohio. Reporting to the Director of Compounding Production, you will oversee the strategic development and growth of compounding capabilities while serving as a subject matter expert in developing new compounded treatments. You will directly supervise all compounding personnel, including training, evaluation, and performance management. Your responsibilities include performing and documenting compounding procedures, quality assurance and quality control checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations in accordance with federal and state pharmacy regulations. You will review and approve materials for compounding use, oversee equipment calibration and maintenance, and monitor the compounding environment in coordination with the maintenance team. Key responsibilities also include collaborating closely with R&D teams on the development and scale-up of new compounded formulations, developing and evaluating standard operating procedures for the compounding lab, and ensuring compliance with all safety, USP (United States Pharmacopeia), Board of Pharmacy, and internal guidelines. You will maintain a safety-first mindset, handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with USP and applicable laws, and perform pharmacist-related activities such as patient consultation and error documentation. You will coordinate with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on personnel, compliance, and regulatory matters, and maintain all security and privacy rules regarding protected health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA regulations. The role requires in-person work in a compounding laboratory environment, with the ability to work in various positions (sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, walking) for prolonged periods, lift at least 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and wear required compounding safety equipment including respirators. QUALIFICATIONS: - Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution - Active Pharmacist license in the state of Ohio - Familiarity and experience with all necessary pharmacy and compounding equipment - Knowledge of all principles, theories, laws, policies, and procedures pertaining to compounding, specifically USP 795, 800, and other USP general chapters, and best compounding practices - Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems - Ability to undergo respirator fit testing (full beards or significant facial hair may prevent proper seal) - Knowledgeable and empathetic leadership skills for in-person pharmacist and technician teams - Ability to lift at least 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation - Ability to stand for long periods and work in various physical positions for prolonged periods - Ability to wear required compounding safety equipment for extended periods - Knowledge of state and pharmacy regulations as designated by the State Board of Pharmacy and FDA - Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment per FDA regulations
