Anduril Industries is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to ensure rigorous testing and quality assurance of advanced defense technology systems. In this role, you will own test activities across the manufacturing value stream, from system-level checkouts to component-level validation. You'll maintain and develop test automation software, create detailed work instructions for technician teams, and troubleshoot complex infrared and opto-mechanical systems issues discovered during production testing.
Key responsibilities include: maintaining test capabilities and production test flow; generating clear test work instructions and training technicians on equipment; developing a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides; maintaining and developing software for test automation, data analytics, and report generation; performing root cause analysis on product failures and recommending corrective actions; collaborating with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on customer returns and failure analysis; contributing feedback to early-stage test design for new products; analyzing test data and providing detailed reports; optimizing test strategies for efficiency without compromising quality; maintaining and calibrating test equipment; and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; 3+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment; experience with data acquisition and processing using MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages; experience with test automation and report generation; strong root cause analysis skills for hardware, software, and firmware issues; excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; experience integrating electrical, opto-mechanical, and software/firmware systems; and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
