Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Hardware Engineer specializing in sensor systems for autonomous vehicles and defense platforms. This role focuses on the complete lifecycle design and integration of proximity sensors and electronic systems for advanced military applications. Key responsibilities include: - Design, test, and validation of proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles - Full-cycle PCB design from requirements through production, including schematic design, component selection, layout, bring-up, test, and debug - Vehicle-level integrations and system interconnect diagrams - Wire harness design connecting electronic equipment - Collaboration with cross-discipline teams on air vehicle subsystem development - Vendor evaluation and component sourcing - Peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews - Lab, ground, and flight testing of engine system components - Root cause analysis supporting field operations Required qualifications include a BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 7+ years of experience designing and troubleshooting complex board designs. Strong expertise needed in circuit design, mixed-signal design, sensor integration, and test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers). Experience with UAS, power electronics, or powertrain design is required. Proficiency with electronic CAD tools (Altium preferred) and familiarity with standard interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI) and EMI testing are essential. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include environmental testing experience for military/commercial applications, height-of-burst sensor design, ordnance fuzing systems, UAS/missile/maritime program experience, DoD Weapons Safety Board familiarity, production scaling experience, and knowledge of military standards (MIL-STD-1316, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-882E, MIL-STD-2105) and JOTP specifications.
