CesiumAstro is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, & Control (GNC) Engineer II to join a small, dynamic team developing communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. In this role, you will take ownership of GNC system design and analysis across all lifecycle stages—from concept through design, integration, test, and on-orbit operations. Key responsibilities include: - Performing trade studies and participating in design reviews for GNC systems - Developing mathematical models and running simulations to validate system performance - Conducting system-level testing and analysis - Building, testing, and flying hardware on actual spacecraft - Contributing to company-critical projects across disciplines in a startup environment You will work on a small, collaborative team responsible for developing satellites and deploying them to orbit. The role offers hands-on, autonomous work with direct impact on leading-edge aerospace systems. As a startup, you'll be expected to wear multiple hats and contribute beyond your core GNC expertise to support critical company initiatives. Note: U.S. citizenship or equivalent status is required to comply with Space Technology Export Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain required State Department authorizations.
