Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to join the Flight Engineering department within the Air Dominance and Strike organization. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, testing, and implementing cutting-edge flight system technologies for aerospace systems including missiles, unmanned air vehicles, and related platforms. The successful candidate will work on safety-critical autonomous systems and contribute to programs such as the Air Force's Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) initiative. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing GNC algorithms aligned with project requirements, designing and assessing GNC architectures considering spacecraft, sensors, actuators, and algorithms. You will apply multidisciplinary design and analysis optimization (MDAO) techniques to balance performance, cost, and risk factors. The role spans all development phases from concept through design, prototyping, testing, and operational deployment. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including systems engineers, flight software engineers, and test engineers to ensure system-wide integration and performance. Responsibilities include contributing to design reviews, safety assessments, and system documentation; using simulation and analysis tools to verify GNC models under various operating conditions; and providing system engineering expertise to ensure cohesive design and implementation. You will troubleshoot and resolve GNC-related issues during design, testing, and operational phases, and stay current with emerging technologies and trends in GNC engineering and system architecture design.
