Plaid is seeking a GTM Technology Engineer to build and maintain the technical backbone of its go-to-market systems. The GTM Technology team, part of GTM Operations, owns Salesforce administration and platform architecture, quote-to-cash and lead-to-cash data integrity, and evaluation/rollout of new GTM tooling including AI and agentic systems. This is a hands-on engineering role reporting into GTM Technology, working alongside Salesforce architects, GTM Operations partners, and the broader Engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components, and Flows that support core GTM processes. You'll investigate and resolve issues in revenue-critical Apex services, tracing root causes across triggers, flows, and integration touchpoints. A key part of the role involves building and maintaining integrations between Salesforce and the broader GTM stack (CPQ, CLM/contract tools, sales engagement platforms, data enrichment tools, data warehouse) using middleware like MuleSoft or Tray.io, REST/SOAP APIs, and event-driven patterns. The role includes prototyping and productionizing AI-assisted workflows using LLM APIs, Salesforce-hosted MCP servers, and agentic tooling to automate manual RevOps processes such as deal reviews, data QA, reporting, and triage. You'll contribute to Salesforce architecture decisions (data model, sharing model, integration patterns, CI/CD via tools like Copado or Gearset) that keep the org scalable as Plaid's GTM motion grows. You'll work directly with RevOps, Deal Desk, Sales leadership, and Engineering to translate business requirements into reliable, well-tested technical solutions. Writing testable, documented code; participating in code review and release management; and supporting SOX/ITGC controls relevant to revenue systems are also part of the responsibilities. Plaid powers tools millions of people rely on to manage their finances, working with thousands of companies including Venmo, SoFi, Fortune 500 companies, and major banks. The company's network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe. Founded in 2013, Plaid is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience: Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP, platform events, middleware) - Experience with CPQ (Salesforce CPQ or similar) and working understanding of quote-to-cash / lead-to-cash data flows - Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows, agentic systems, or LLM-backed automations that improve operational efficiency — building with AI tools, not just using them - Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills — comfortable tracing a data issue from a Salesforce field back through Apex logic, automation, and upstream integrations - Experience with integration/middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Tray.io, Workato, or similar) and modern API design - Solid software engineering fundamentals: version control (Git), CI/CD, testing discipline, and code review practices - Excellent cross-functional communication skills — comfortable working directly with GTM Operations, Sales, Deal Desk, and Finance stakeholders - Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a proactive, builder-oriented mindset - Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect) are a plus but not required
