Mercor is a Series C AI data company valued at $10 billion, building infrastructure between human expertise and frontier AI models. As the company's first GTM Engineer, you'll design and deploy systems powering customer acquisition, service, and expansion from the ground up.
You'll own three core areas: GTM Data & Systems, AI & Automation, and Scale & Operations. In GTM Data & Systems, you'll design data infrastructure and automation spanning marketing, sales, customer success, and operations. This includes account and contact enrichment, outbound tooling, and integrations across Mercor's stack (Attio, Customer.io, Clay). You'll build dashboards, experimentation frameworks, and self-serve reporting to give GTM leaders real-time visibility into pipeline, conversion, attribution, and revenue performance. You'll also own data quality, documentation, and governance.
In AI & Automation, you'll build AI agents that automate lead research, enrichment, routing, campaign execution, outbound personalization, and customer intelligence. You'll deploy production-grade automations using frontier language models, APIs, workflow orchestration, and modern data infrastructure. You'll rapidly prototype AI-powered workflows, measure business impact, and scale successful experiments.
In Scale & Operations, you'll build reliable, observable data pipelines and workflows that customer-facing teams depend on daily. You'll identify operational bottlenecks, automate repetitive processes across the customer lifecycle, and improve TAM mapping, account enrichment, attribution, and lead routing.
The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, data science, growth engineering, revenue operations, or similar technical roles in high-growth environments. You need strong SQL and Python proficiency, experience building data pipelines and integrating APIs, and familiarity with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery), orchestration tools (dbt, Airflow), and BI platforms (Looker, Hex). You understand how marketing, sales, and customer success organizations operate and can translate business problems into scalable technical solutions. You're a builder who takes ownership of ambiguous problems, moves quickly, and communicates effectively across teams. Mercor requires in-person work five days per week at their San Francisco, NYC, or London offices.
