Expo is seeking a GTM Engineer to own and expand their portfolio of AI agents and automations that drive real business impact across sales, marketing, and revenue operations. This is a hands-on builder role, not an administrative position—you'll be measured by what you ship and its measurable business impact.
Key responsibilities include: owning a live set of AI agents already running across self-serve database, marketing, and revenue data; building new AI agents and workflows to automate GTM work like account research, lead routing, outbound personalization, and forecasting; partnering closely with sales, marketing, product, and other teams to understand underlying problems and ship solutions; connecting systems like HubSpot, BigQuery, Stripe, and Slack via APIs and webhooks; designing scalable, secure systems that handle customer data responsibly; operationalizing product usage and buying signals into scoring and routing; measuring business impact tied to pipeline, conversion, and rep productivity; making deliberate buy-vs-build decisions; and documenting everything so teams can understand and trust your work without you present.
You'll also champion AI practices across Expo, publishing playbooks and enabling non-technical teammates to leverage AI-native GTM approaches.
Required qualifications: 3–5 years in GTM engineering, RevOps, marketing/sales operations, growth engineering, or software engineering with GTM knowledge; daily fluency with AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor); hands-on experience building with LLM APIs and agents; SQL plus Python or TypeScript; deep HubSpot or Salesforce expertise; and high ownership in ambiguous situations.
Nice-to-have skills include Clay, n8n, Zapier, MCP/agent SDK experience, data warehouse modeling (BigQuery, dbt), shipped AI agents that moved revenue metrics, developer tools or product-led growth background, and prior RevOps experience in high-growth startups.
The ideal candidate is a builder first, listens before building, measures success by what they ship, treats GTM as a software problem, is technically and AI-savvy, has commercial instinct, communicates clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and documents thoroughly.
