Ben is a benefits platform that connects the entire benefits ecosystem to create better outcomes for employers, employees, brokers, and providers.
As GTM Engineer, you will architect and build the go-to-market engine from first principles. You sit between growth teams (demand gen, marketing, sales) and design the systems, automations, and AI agents that eliminate manual work and toil.
Key responsibilities:
• Architect the Growth Engine: design how the GTM stack (CRM, data warehouse, surrounding tools) fits together and build automations that connect systems so the machine runs instead of people copy-pasting between tools.
• Deploy AI Agents for Growth: design and ship the agent stack for prospecting, intent-to-action, enrichment, and routing. Select appropriate tools (HubSpot, n8n, Make, Claude, APIs) and determine when agents run autonomously versus when humans stay in the loop.
• Measure and Improve the Funnel: build data pipelines that feed growth, enrichment, and buying signals. Track conversion at each stage, identify pipeline leaks, ship fixes, and prove revenue impact.
• Build Connective Tissue: create seamless handoffs between marketing, sales, and customer success so information passes cleanly without manual translation.
• Maintain and Optimize: own the systems you build end-to-end. Use SQL to interrogate the warehouse, build self-updating dashboards, and ship occasional PRs when needed.
You will have autonomy, budget, and a direct line to founders. The role emphasizes pushing the frontier of what's possible with AI-first GTM design rather than inheriting legacy setups.
Requirements:
• Proven track record building real systems and automations that others rely on; ability to demonstrate shipped work.
• Fluency with automation platforms and APIs (n8n, Make, Zapier, etc.); you wire tools together yourself rather than waiting for others.
• Understanding of code and systems: can read code, ship small PRs, and reach working solutions with available tools. Not a software engineering role, but "I don't touch code" won't work.
• Strong data skills: can interrogate a data warehouse and trust your own numbers.
• Depth in modern GTM stack and CRM: designed and built on systems like HubSpot or AI-native CRMs like Attio.
• Experience inside a GTM function (sales, marketing, RevOps, customer success) long enough to understand the motion from the inside: how leads become pipeline, where reps lose time, why reps distrust lead scores.
