Botpress is an enterprise-grade AI agent platform for customer support, displacing legacy systems like Zendesk at scale. As a Growth Software Developer, you'll join a dedicated product growth team reporting to the Director of Product Growth, working alongside a Product Manager and Designer on high-leverage problems in onboarding, activation, and revenue conversion. This is a non-traditional engineering role operating as a SWAT team. You'll move fast, change direction based on data, and prioritize measurable business impact over long-term system ownership. Code written today may be replaced next sprint—that's the nature of growth work. You own experiments end-to-end: scoping, building, shipping, measuring, and being personally accountable for outcomes. Key responsibilities include building and iterating on onboarding flows, activation surfaces, and conversion experiments that directly impact sign-up-to-paid rates. You'll design and run A/B and multivariate tests, instrument them properly, and act on findings. You'll build lightweight internal tools and growth infrastructure when needed, and contribute to anything that measurably moves growth metrics. You bring 3–6 years of full-stack development experience with TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Hands-on experience with AI technologies (LLMs, agents, embeddings, AI-powered surfaces) is essential—you actively seek out and aren't intimidated by rapidly evolving AI tooling. You own the full development cycle independently without handholding, have a genuine eye for clean UI/UX, and low ego about code rewrites. You think in hypotheses, instrument your work, let data drive decisions, and proactively identify problems before they're handed to you. Clear, direct English communication is required; French is a bonus.
