OpenAI's Startup Growth team is seeking a Growth Programs Lead to build the systems, programs, and automation that enable the company to scale startup partnerships. This role owns the shared capabilities that allow the Startup GTM function to incubate, launch, measure, and scale growth programs efficiently without requiring bespoke infrastructure for each initiative.
You will initially own credit and commercial programs while building reusable infrastructure for a broader portfolio of go-to-market motions. The goal is not to centralize program ownership but to create an operating system that makes distributed teams dramatically faster and more effective.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop shared infrastructure, tooling, and agentic systems that convert growth opportunities into scalable programs and automate work across the program lifecycle.
- Own credit and commercial program strategy, turning capabilities like audience selection, eligibility, offer configuration, distribution, and measurement into reusable building blocks.
- Create a repeatable path from idea to scaled motion, converting strategic priorities into targeted, operationalized, measurable GTM initiatives.
- Enable Account Directors, VC Partnerships, and other Startup GTM teams to incubate and own programs independently, reducing reliance on centralized operations.
- Develop shared measurement and experimentation frameworks so teams can identify incremental growth and scale what works.
- Establish cross-functional ownership across Product, Engineering, Finance, User Ops, and other teams, graduating capabilities to the right owners long-term.
You thrive in this role if you can rapidly convert growth objectives into targeted GTM motions using common infrastructure, scale credit and commercial programs to best-in-class status, ship high-impact commercial structures (BYOK partnerships, strategic credit promotions), ensure program economics and performance are measurable from launch, and leverage AI and automation to enable the team to launch and optimize significantly more growth motions with less manual effort.
The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. OpenAI offers relocation assistance to new employees.
