Ownwell is a venture-backed fintech company (backed by First Round Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners) that has built an end-to-end property tax solution for single-family rental (SFR) and commercial real estate (CRE) investors, operators, and property managers. The platform combines data science, machine learning, and local market expertise to reduce property tax expenses, increase net operating income, and drive operational efficiency. The company has achieved 300%+ year-over-year customer growth and is recognized as a top workplace by Fortune, BuiltIn, and Inc. The Growth Lead for Market Expansion role is a strategic, high-impact position reporting to the VP of Growth & Marketing. You will own one of Ownwell's most important geographic expansion initiatives with full accountability for growth, customer acquisition, and business performance in new markets. This is not a traditional growth role—you'll operate as both a strategic thought partner and hands-on operator, building go-to-market strategies, identifying new growth opportunities, and personally driving execution. Key responsibilities include: owning strategic growth initiatives and geographic expansion efforts; solving cross-functional problems by partnering with Product, Engineering, Operations, Data, Sales, Finance, and Legal teams; turning ambiguity into action by breaking down complex problems and executing with minimal oversight; acting as a force multiplier for the VP of Growth & Marketing; evaluating new products, partnerships, pricing strategies, and acquisition channels; and driving operational excellence through goal-setting, planning, and execution tracking. You'll have an unusually broad view of the company and work directly with senior leaders across nearly every function. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable with strategy and execution, enjoys solving ambiguous high-impact problems, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or high-growth startups. You are exceptionally ambitious, a first-principles thinker, highly analytical, and a natural owner who proactively identifies opportunities and drives alignment across teams.
