Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America, combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to help aerospace and defense companies build mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost. The company recently closed a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation and is rapidly expanding manufacturing capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, and additive manufacturing.
The Growth Finance Manager role owns the economics of how Hadrian wins work, sitting at the front end of every program to price pursuits, shape deals, and structure partnerships and joint ventures. You will be the analytical center of this work, building financial models from a blank sheet—including unit economics, capacity and capex requirements, rate and margin structure, and returns cases that determine whether to bid, at what price, and on what terms. You'll pressure-test your own assumptions and be expected to have a substantive view on program viability, not just deliver spreadsheets.
Beyond modeling, you'll help structure partnership and JV vehicles, including term sheets, waterfall and downside mechanics, and counterparty diligence. You'll write memos to leadership and defend your analysis in the room. This is a small team with a short path to owning deals outright; work scales with demonstrated capability rather than tenure. You will work directly with the executive leadership team on the company's most important strategic initiatives.
Key responsibilities include driving strategic project work spanning transactions, capital markets activities, market research, and new business model evaluations; developing and owning dynamic financial models and analyses; creating executive and board-facing presentations; collaborating with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal); serving as a partner to FP&A; building complex financial models including cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis; carrying ambiguous work to decision without being managed; compressing complex analysis into actionable recommendations; and managing multiple concurrent work streams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
- 5–8 years in progressive Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Development, Venture Capital, or Hedge Fund experience
- Familiarity with aerospace & defense and advanced-manufacturing markets and key players
- Prior PE, banking, corp dev, or VC experience, ideally in industrials, defense, or deep tech, or experience scaling a manufacturing or hardware-focused company
- Technical experience in engineering capacity on complex products (aerospace & defense, medical devices, automotive, oil & gas, power)
- Exposure to project finance and large-scale capital investment analysis (facility buildouts, infrastructure, capex-heavy programs)
- Experience drafting deal negotiation materials (commercial contracts, term sheets, partnership proposals) with high attention to detail
- Working knowledge of defense contracting and government cost accounting (FAR, CAS, DCAA, contract types) and deal economics implications
- Sufficient understanding of advanced manufacturing technology (CNC, additive) to evaluate technical targets
- Intermediate accounting knowledge and comfort building lightweight tooling/automation (VBA, Python, SQL)
- Network in defense/space/manufacturing investor and operator ecosystem
- Working knowledge of government contracting processes
Differentiators: Experience in Manufacturing, Systems, Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (extensive practical technical experience may substitute for minimum finance experience); self-motivated and hands-on; passionate about companies making physical products; excited by fast-paced, high-stakes, quick-iteration environments; highly effective communicator, especially presenting technical information.
