The company serves top investment funds and Fortune 500 companies with proprietary technology analyzing billions of data points across software, AI, cloud, e-commerce, ridesharing, and payments.
You will lead and grow YipitData's Data Feeds product management team as a player-coach. This role combines team leadership with hands-on product ownership. You will manage a team of product managers, set portfolio strategy for the data feeds business, and directly own a strategically important data feed or quant-focused initiative from discovery through launch and scaling.
Key responsibilities include:
**Team Leadership & Development**: Manage and coach product managers, establish clear responsibilities and decision-making frameworks, build effective planning and performance measurement practices, and recruit talent as the team grows.
**Portfolio Strategy**: Own a cohesive product portfolio strategy aligned with business direction, guide PMs in developing product visions and roadmaps, prioritize across roadmaps and shared capabilities, identify portfolio gaps and opportunities to combine datasets, and recommend which offerings to scale, improve, consolidate, or retire.
**Hands-On Product Ownership**: Serve as the PM for a strategically important data feed or quant initiative, leading customer discovery, translating needs into product decisions, partnering with Data/Engineering/Data Science/Quant Research teams, and staying close to client evaluations and integrations.
**Commercial Performance**: Share accountability for portfolio revenue growth, retention, and expansion; partner with Revenue, Client Strategy, Product Marketing, and Solutions Consulting on pricing, packaging, and positioning; build a clear portfolio story; and balance near-term client requests with scalable market opportunities.
**Client Experience**: Establish product expectations for data quality, coverage, timeliness, and documentation; partner on quality controls and monitoring; improve how customers discover, evaluate, onboard, and integrate feeds; and help build repeatable experiences for quant and systematic customers.
**Cross-Functional Alignment**: Align priorities across Product, Data, Engineering, Research, Quant, Applications, and commercial teams; partner with Quant Research on systematic investor requirements; work with data sourcing and partnerships teams; and communicate strategy, tradeoffs, and risks clearly.
YipitData operates globally with offices in the US, APAC, and India. The company is recognized as a Best Workplace by Inc. for three consecutive years, emphasizing transparency, ownership, and continuous mastery.

- Technical fluency in data products, including schemas, methodologies, quality, delivery mechanisms, and implications of product changes for clients
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills, with ability to align teams you do not directly manage
- Desire to remain a hands-on product owner while building and leading a team
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with alternative data, financial data, or investment research products
- Familiarity with fundamental, quantitative, or systematic investment workflows, including dataset evaluation, backtesting, and integration
- Experience building a portfolio serving multiple customer segments or combining multiple data sources
- Experience with third-party data partnerships, licensing considerations, and vendor dependencies
