Mirage is an AI video company building the future of creative tools. The company develops multimodal agents, rendering engines, and generative video models that power Captions (a creative workspace for video generation and editing), Tesseract (a professional video engine for AI agents), and APIs for developers.
As Group Product Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and Co-Founder, operating as a product leader with dual responsibilities: owning major product bets while managing and developing a team of Product Managers. You will work across Research, Engineering, Design, and GTM teams to translate rapidly evolving model capabilities into reliable, intuitive products.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define the future of AI video creation by developing a strong point of view on how people will create, edit, and communicate as AI agents and models become more capable, then translate that into concrete product bets.
- Translate frontier capabilities into products by working closely with research and engineering to understand model capabilities, failure modes, and how to turn them into reliable user experiences.
- Build creative systems (not isolated features) that span the entire creative process from intent and generation through editing, iteration, and publishing.
- Develop exceptional product and model taste, evaluating generated media across quality, controllability, consistency, latency, cost, and creative usefulness.
- Stay close to users and market by spending time with creators, marketers, businesses, and emerging creative communities to identify next-generation product opportunities.
- Own products end-to-end from ambiguous problem through prototype, launch, measurement, and iteration.
- Build tight learning loops by defining success metrics, creating evaluation frameworks, and using real product behavior to improve both experience and underlying models.
- Shape how products reach market by partnering on positioning, launches, education, and distribution.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Product team by managing, mentoring, and developing Product Managers while setting a high bar for judgment, execution, and craft.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of product management experience, or 8+ years in roles that build exceptional product judgment (founder, early-stage operator, product marketer, growth leader, etc.)
- Experience managing and mentoring Product Managers; you've directly managed PMs, helped them develop stronger judgment and execution, and know how to raise the bar while providing ownership and support for growth
- Deep fluency in generative media; you actively use and study the latest video, image, audio, and multimodal products, understand the current state of the space, have opinions on where it's heading, and can distinguish durable shifts from short-lived novelty
- Hands-on experience with AI; you have prototyped or shipped using modern models and tools, and understand their capabilities and failure modes through direct experience
- Strong cross-functional leadership; you influence and work effectively across product, engineering, and executive stakeholders, bringing different perspectives together to drive decisions
- Comfort operating in ambiguity; you thrive in fast-moving environments, can turn loosely defined problems into clear priorities, and create structure
- Strong technical and product communication; you can engage deeply with technical teams, understand technical constraints and tradeoffs, and translate complex ideas into clear product decisions
- A point of view on the future of product management; you've thought deeply about how AI has changed the PM function and have a perspective on what great product management will look like in the near future
