Nodes & Links is an AI-first SaaS platform helping organizations manage very large, complex projects (nuclear plants, data centers, etc.). The company has raised $30M, counts Intel, AECOM, and BAM as clients, and is recognized by TechNation, Construction Tech Review, and Amazon as an industry leader. You will join as Group Finance Manager, responsible for all financial operations across UK, US, and Cypriot entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Consolidation & Statutory Reporting: Own the month-end close across all group entities, ensuring reconciliations, accruals, and journals are accurate and timely. Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with clear performance commentary. Lead year-end close and statutory financial statements for UK, US, and Cyprus entities in line with local reporting frameworks. Lead annual audits in UK and Cyprus, managing auditor relationships and query resolution.
Tax Compliance: Review UK VAT returns and ensure timely submission. Prepare annual UK PAYE Settlement Agreement calculations. Review UK corporation tax computations with advisers. Support UK R&D tax relief claims. Manage US federal, state, and sales tax compliance for the US subsidiary. Own US sales tax nexus monitoring, registrations, and software operations. Support transfer pricing documentation for UK–US intercompany relationships. Oversee VAT and corporation tax compliance for the Cypriot entity. Maintain a single group tax calendar covering all three jurisdictions with clear ownership and lead times.
Payroll & Controls: Review group payroll across UK, US, and Cyprus, including contractors and EOR arrangements, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Own supplier onboarding portals and compliance documentation. Design and operate financial controls appropriate to the company's stage. Act as the finance team's AI champion, identifying and implementing automation and AI tools for time-consuming processes. Review ESG and climate reporting.
Team Leadership: Line manage, coach, and develop the Assistant Management Accountant.
Requirements:
Must-have: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with meaningful post-qualification experience in a hands-on accounting role. Multi-entity and multi-currency experience, including group consolidation. Experience preparing or reviewing statutory accounts and running or supporting an audit. Ownership of a tax compliance calendar and experience managing external advisers.
Nice-to-have: Experience working for a SaaS company. Exposure to US compliance (federal, state, or sales tax), or clear appetite to own it with adviser support. Practice training followed by an in-house move. Experience in a VC-backed company through a funding round.
