Anduril Industries is seeking a Ground Software Engineer to own the architecture and deployment of software solutions supporting space operations and mission management for U.S. military and allied partners. You will develop modular capabilities for the Space Command & Control (C2) system built on the Anduril Lattice AI-powered software platform, including infrastructure, algorithms, and integrations for orbital and ground systems. In this role, you will own deployed software solutions for customer missions, develop Space C2 and Mission Management capabilities to enable end-to-end mission systems, and integrate with legacy defense systems to unlock modern capabilities. You'll write code to improve products and scale mission capability across different users and customers, collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality, and create metrics for debugging and monitoring. You will triage issues, root cause failures, coordinate next steps, and partner with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints. This is a critical role supporting real-world defense operations in the contested space domain. Required: 4+ years of professional software development experience with languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript. Strong engineering background (CS, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics). Ability to understand complex systems and detailed requirements, solve technical problems with minimal oversight, and communicate clearly. Experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations is essential. Must currently possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance. Preferred: Experience with Go, Rust, or C++; deployment tooling (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm); space ground hardware (sensors, radars, telescopes); space simulation and hardware integration; space software standards and modular services development.
