Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Ground Software Engineer to own the architecture and deployment of software solutions supporting space operations and mission management for U.S. military and allied partners. You will develop modular capabilities for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers across the space domain, architecting the Space Command & Control (C2) system built on the Anduril Lattice software platform. This includes infrastructure, algorithms, and integrations to support both orbital and ground systems, with particular focus on integrating legacy defense systems with new space capabilities. Key responsibilities include owning deployed software solutions, developing Space C2 and Mission Management capabilities for end-to-end mission systems, integrating with legacy systems to unlock modern capabilities, writing code to improve products and scale mission capability across users and customers, and collaborating across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality. You will create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring, triage issues and root cause failures, and partner with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints. Required qualifications include a strong engineering background (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics), ability to navigate complex systems and detailed requirements, capability to solve complex technical problems with minimal oversight, clear communication and organizational skills, 4+ years of programming experience with languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript, experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations, and an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance. Preferred qualifications include experience with Go, Rust, or C++, deployment tooling such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm, exposure to space ground hardware (sensors, radars, telescopes), space-related simulation and hardware integration experience, and familiarity with space software standards and modular software services development.
