Anduril Industries is seeking a Ground Software Engineer to join its Space team, which is developing AI-powered capabilities for Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and Command and Control systems for U.S. military and allied partners. In this role, you will own the architecture and deployment of software solutions that support customer missions for space operations and mission management. You will develop modular capabilities on top of the Anduril Lattice software platform, focusing on infrastructure, algorithms, and integrations to support both orbital and ground systems. A key aspect of this work involves integrating with legacy defense systems that have been critical to national security for decades, while also incorporating new space systems into the operational ecosystem. Your responsibilities will include owning deployed software solutions, developing Space Command & Control (C2) and Mission Management capabilities for end-to-end mission systems, integrating with legacy systems to unlock modern capabilities, and writing code to improve products and scale mission capability across different users and customers. You will collaborate across multiple teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality, create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring, triage issues and coordinate root cause analysis, and partner with end-users to translate mission needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints. Required qualifications include a strong engineering background (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics), ability to navigate complex systems and requirements, capability to solve technical problems with minimal oversight, clear communication and documentation skills, 4+ years of programming experience with languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript, experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations, and eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include experience with Go, Rust, or C++, deployment tooling (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm), space ground hardware (sensors, radars, telescopes), space simulation and hardware integration, and familiarity with space software standards and modular software services development.
