Join Apple's UK GPU design centre as a Graphics Design Verification Engineer, contributing to pre-silicon RTL verification of high-performance 3D graphics processor microarchitectures. You will work on designs targeted for both low-power mobile devices and high-performance personal computers, developing a deep understanding of micro-architectural details and how individual blocks integrate into the broader GPU design. Your primary responsibilities include developing comprehensive test benches using SystemVerilog, UVM, C++, and scripting languages to verify complex graphics IP designs. You will generate tests, run simulations, debug issues, and drive verification to high-quality closure with robust coverage metrics. Collaboration is central to the role—you'll work across multi-functional teams including Architecture, Design, and Software to tackle complex challenges and ensure exceptional quality of graphics IP. As you progress, you'll take on increasing responsibilities including creating and executing verification plans, negotiating program objectives with cross-functional partners, and mentoring junior team members. The role requires strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate technical findings and coordinate across teams. Minimum qualifications include a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field. You must have strong knowledge of computer architecture, general-purpose microprocessor design, or memory subsystem micro-architecture (graphics experience preferred). Proficiency in SystemVerilog, C++, and Python is essential, along with excellent planning, collaboration, and communication skills. Fluency in English is required. Preferred qualifications include prior design verification or design contributions to complex IP at unit, sub-system, or top-level, and knowledge of verification languages and methodologies. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge GPU technology at one of the world's leading technology companies.
