FlixBus is seeking a Government Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Manager to support market expansion by securing access to critical transportation infrastructure and managing relationships with key stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for securing high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging government relationships and private-sector negotiation skills. You will identify, negotiate, and secure bus stop access agreements with private business partners to support and expand network operations across the country. A key part of your work involves aligning commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks.
You will develop partnerships with businesses, transit agencies, and property owners to enhance station access and amenities. As the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, you will advocate for the company in infrastructure planning forums and coordinate with internal teams to standardize documentation and refine processes for improved efficiencies.
The role requires up to 30% travel as needed to support market expansion efforts.
You bring 1+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with government entities. You also have 1+ years of project management experience with knowledge of transportation regulations and public transit systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, with demonstrated experience presenting to senior officials and business leaders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint, is required.
