FlixBus is seeking a Government Affairs & Strategic Partnerships Manager to drive market expansion by securing access to critical transportation infrastructure and managing relationships with key stakeholders in a regulated environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for securing high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging government relationships and private-sector negotiation skills. You'll identify, negotiate, and secure bus stop access agreements with private business partners to support and expand network operations across the country. A core responsibility is aligning commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks.
You will develop strategic partnerships with businesses, transit agencies, and property owners to enhance station access and amenities. You'll serve as the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, advocating for the company in infrastructure planning forums. Additionally, you'll coordinate with internal teams to standardize documentation and refine processes for improved efficiencies.
The role requires strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience presenting to senior officials and business leaders. You'll need proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. Travel is expected up to 30% as needed to support partnership development and government relations activities.
Ideal candidates bring 1+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with government entities, plus 1+ years of project management experience with knowledge of transportation regulations and public transit systems.
