Thunes is a global money movement platform operating a Direct Global Network that enables real-time payments across 130+ countries and 80+ currencies. The network connects to over 7 billion mobile wallets and bank accounts via 350+ payment methods, serving clients like Uber, Deliveroo, Grab, and WeChat.
As a Golang Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Golang ecosystems. You'll work on a new version of the platform, collaborating with Product Owners, Security, Infrastructure, and Data teams to implement scalable technical solutions. Your responsibilities include developing and deploying applications with high performance and security standards, conducting code reviews, optimizing application performance, and troubleshooting software issues to ensure system stability.
You will participate in Agile development processes, contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives, and stay current with emerging technologies to propose improvements. The role reports to a Lead Developer and involves cross-functional collaboration, including potential support team interactions to assist clients.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, 2-5 years of software development experience with Golang, and proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). You should have hands-on experience with microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines, plus strong knowledge of software design principles, performance optimization, and security best practices. Experience in payments, financial services, banking, or fintech is a plus. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and thrives in fast-paced Agile environments.
