Thunes is a global money movement platform operating a Direct Global Network that enables real-time payments across 130+ countries and 80+ currencies. The network connects to over 7 billion mobile wallets and bank accounts via 350+ payment methods, serving clients like Uber, Deliveroo, Grab, and WeChat. As a Golang Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Golang ecosystems. You'll work on a new version of the platform, collaborating with Product Owners, Security, Infrastructure, and Data teams to implement scalable technical solutions. Your responsibilities include developing and deploying applications with high performance and security standards, conducting code reviews, optimizing application performance, and troubleshooting software issues to ensure system stability. You'll participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. The role involves staying current with emerging technologies and proposing improvements to existing solutions. You'll report to a Lead Developer or Software Development Manager and may collaborate with support teams on client-facing issues. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, 5+ years of software development experience with Golang, and proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). You should have hands-on experience with microservices architecture, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Experience in payments, financial services, banking, or fintech is highly valued. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced Agile environments are essential.
