Tensec is a fintech founded in 2023 that enables SMBs to access global transaction banking and cross-border trade solutions. The company is backed by top-tier VCs (Quiet Capital, Costanoa Ventures, Coinbase Ventures) and has leadership from PayPal, Credit Karma, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Visa, and Mastercard. You'll be the first engineer dedicated to go-to-market infrastructure, reporting directly to the Global Head of GTM. This is a greenfield opportunity to design systems from scratch rather than inherit legacy infrastructure. You'll work across Brazil and Mexico markets, partnering closely with growth marketing, engineering, and country teams. Key responsibilities include: **Outbound Engine**: Build the prospecting system—list generation, account scoring, sending infrastructure, and sequencing logic. You'll determine which signals predict good-fit accounts and design the pipeline to find them. Deliverability (domains, warming, inbox health) is your domain. Currently handled by an agency; bringing this in-house is the clearest near-term win. **Sales Execution Layer**: Create intelligent briefs for sales reps assembled from CRM history, past calls, and market data. Automate post-call workflows so transcripts become deal updates and follow-ups without manual retyping. Build internal agents for research, account mapping, and reporting. **Data Foundation**: Design the revenue data model—objects, lifecycle stages, deduplication, and pipeline reporting. You'll establish the schema leadership uses to run the business, rather than inheriting and working around someone else's. **Stack Decisions**: Own build-versus-buy choices. Keep vendors that earn their keep; replace those that don't. **Compliance Integration**: Build go-to-market systems in partnership with the compliance team. Tensec holds licenses in three countries in a highly regulated environment, so this is non-negotiable. You should have shipped production systems (Python, TypeScript, SQL—language agnostic). You've worked close to revenue, built for sales teams, and put models into production (not just demos). You understand email deliverability mechanics. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required; you'll sit on calls with Brazilian customers and collaborate across US and Mexico teams. Nice-to-have: exposure to logistics, trade, or cross-border payments. The company values speed, decisiveness, and ownership. Your manager will be in the work with you daily, not reviewing quarterly. Tensec is distributed across San Francisco, New York, Miami, Monterrey, and São Paulo, with a hybrid model requiring 3 days/week in office.
