Tensec is a fintech founded in 2023 that enables SMBs to access global transaction banking solutions for cross-border trade. The company is backed by top VCs including Quiet Capital, Costanoa Ventures, and Coinbase Ventures, with a team spanning San Francisco, New York, Miami, Monterrey, and São Paulo. As the first Go-to-Market Engineer, you will design and build the systems that identify, qualify, and reach Tensec's customers across Brazil and Mexico. You'll report directly to the Global Head of GTM and work closely with growth marketing, engineering, and country teams. Key responsibilities include: - Building the outbound engine: designing customer lists, account scoring, sending infrastructure, and sequencing logic. You'll identify signals that predict good accounts and build the pipeline to find them. Deliverability (domains, warming, inbox health) falls under your ownership. Currently handled by an agency, bringing this in-house is a clear near-term win. - Creating the sales execution layer: assembling customer briefs from CRM history, past calls, and market data for sales reps. Post-call, transcripts automatically become deal updates and follow-ups without manual data entry. You'll build internal agents for research, account mapping, and reporting. - Designing the data foundation: modeling revenue data including objects, lifecycle stages, deduplication, and pipeline reporting. You'll have the rare opportunity to design the schema from scratch rather than inherit and work around an existing one. - Making build-versus-buy decisions for the tech stack, keeping vendors that earn their keep and replacing those that don't. - Building go-to-market systems in collaboration with the compliance team, accounting for Tensec's licenses in three countries and highly regulated environment. You should have shipped production systems using Python, TypeScript, SQL, or similar languages. You've worked close to revenue, built tools for sales teams, and put models into production (not just demos). You understand email deliverability and what breaks when it fails. Fluency in both Portuguese and English is required; you'll sit on calls with Brazilian customers and collaborate with teams across the US and Mexico. Experience in logistics, trade, or cross-border payments is a nice-to-have. Tensec values speed, decisiveness, and ownership. You'll have the context and autonomy to make good decisions, with daily collaboration from your manager rather than quarterly reviews.
