Thunes is a global payments infrastructure company operating a Direct Global Network that enables real-time payments across 130+ countries and 80+ currencies. The Engineering team is responsible for developing core business products and delivering them to production efficiently. The team architects solutions around provisioning, configuration, CI/CD, monitoring, SLA, performance, and uptime—processing millions of transactions monthly while interconnecting hundreds of global partners. As a Senior Software Engineer (Go), you will work on highly available, API-exposed services that power the platform. Responsibilities include: • Design, implement, and ship new products to internal and external stakeholders • Develop high-quality, testable, secure, readable, scalable, and documented software • Work on core platform services ensuring scalability and performance • Deliver new functionalities and automate development processes • Participate in agile practices: code reviews, sprint planning, pair programming, daily stand-ups • Evaluate new technologies and initiatives Required qualifications: • Proficiency in Go (Golang) • Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers (AWS SNS/SQS, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ) • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) • Strong background designing and developing web and API solutions • Passion for agile methodology and practices (TDD, CI/CD) • Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred • Curiosity, motivation, and appetite for learning • Interest in fintech industry and market innovations The role offers hybrid flexibility, offices near Sagrada Familia, private health insurance, life insurance, learning & development budget, 25 days holiday plus additional Thunes Out Days and community days.
