Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems and AI. The Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) team develops flight control software and algorithms for Anduril's autonomous drone fleet, including small tactical drones (Group 1-3) like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius. In this role, you will own GNC software development, validation, and testing across the entire drone portfolio. You'll develop and debug flight controllers and guidance algorithms, create Software-In-The-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HIL) test environments, and work closely with flight software teams to define requirements and integrate GNC solutions. You'll analyze flight test data from control systems and instrumentation to verify vehicle performance, evaluate algorithm behavior, and debug field incidents. You'll also develop dynamic system models supporting functional evaluation of GNC software. Key responsibilities include: - Develop, debug, and test flight controllers and guidance algorithms - Create and validate SIL/HIL test environments for flight testing - Collaborate with flight software teams on requirements and integration - Analyze flight test data and vehicle performance metrics - Build models for GNC software evaluation Required: Bachelor's in Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or related field with dynamic systems focus. 4+ years professional GNC experience on airborne platforms. Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink. Experience modeling and simulating linear/nonlinear dynamic systems and linearization. U.S. citizenship or eligibility for Secret security clearance. Preferred: Master's or PhD in relevant field. State estimation (Kalman filtering, sensor fusion). Navigation system integration for aerial platforms. Flight control design for fixed/rotary wing or missiles. Guidance algorithm development. C/C++ proficiency. Simulink Embedded Coder experience.
